Sit back and travel in style as the experienced drivers show you the stunning Fraser Island. Visit the historical Central Station, the pristine Lake McKenzie where you have the opportunity for a swim, the sweeping Seventy Five Mile Beach and stay at the award winning eco resort Kingfisher Bay Resort.
Travelling north from Brisbane you pass the Glass House Mountains and Sunshine Coast before arriving at Rainbow Beach. From Rainbow Beach you take the 4WD on to the beach to meet the ferry at Inskip Point, where a short ferry ride will take you to the northern tip of Fraser Island. You head for Seventy Five Mile Beach and find a nice spot to enjoy a fresh picnic lunch. Travelling north up the eastern beach of Fraser Island you head for Eli Creek. Eli Creek is a fast flowing fresh water stream. Take the beautiful boardwalk to the top of the creek and let yourself relax and float down this picturesque stream.
The next stop is Lake Wabby. You park at the start of a 20 minute walking trail which takes you through lush coastal heath and thick eucalypt forest to Lake Wabby the deepest lake on Fraser Island. The return walk goes through the Hammerstone Sandblow. At the end of the day you travel to Eurong Beach Resort to check into your accommodation and enjoy a buffet dinner in the resort restaurant.
With an early start for continental breakfast at 07.00 you check out and on tour by 08.00.
You head to Central Station to visit Fraser Islands lush subtropical rainforest. You take a fantastic 1 hour walk along the clear flowing waters of Wanggoolba Creek and learn about Fraser Islands timer history.
Next you are off to Lake Mackenzie or Lake Birrabeen (tide dependant), Fraser Islands beautiful crystal clear lakes. You have plenty of time to swim, relax, sunbathe and enjoy a picnic style lunch. After lunch you head through the forest roads back to the southern end of Fraser Island. Mid afternoon you depart Fraser Island arriving in Brisbane around 18.00.
